How to dress well for office in summers

Summer is no exception, every season has its own do’s and don’ts that every woman should know. Just like you change your makeup with the season, your clothes should also reflect changes in it. As the summer starts you changes your lifestyle trends, it should reflect in your office wear in the same manner. The guidelines of office summer wear do’s and don’ts will lead you to the right direction.

Achieve a light, casual-formal look – Achieve a lighter look in office by wearing light fabrics and colors like linens and cotton in white, khakis and cream. You can also transform your casual attire into formal by dressing up formal shirts with dark jeans or a casual T-shirt with a blazer.

Don't prefer too much casual – Don’t prefer shorts for the office as they reveal too much. Avoid wearing golf shirts, tank tops, Spaghettis and bathing clothes in the office always. You do not belong to the office, if you’re reflecting a beach look.

Dress Up properly – Women look flattery with the summer dresses and helps you to stay cool in the long humid weather. Choose flattering structure friendly pattern dresses in light and bright colors made of smooth and soft fabrics.

Do Accessorize - Accessories are one of the best and cheap assets to pair up with your wardrobe dresses to enhance your looks. Start with applying foundation on your face and then add items like necklace, skinny belts, a bold lipstick, nail paint etc.

Don't Reveal Too Much - Avoid dresses like strapless and spaghetti-strapped dresses in the office. Don’t wear dresses that reveal the shoulders, too much of the chest, legs and back. Be careful about fabrics while selecting your dress. Save your thin, hardly bared sundresses for the weekend plans. Also, be careful about the fabric choice.

Bare A Little Skin - Sleeveless tops and hemlines are acceptable in the offices in the summers, but keep cardigan or blazer on hand for the client meeting. Hemlines should be of the knee length or just above the knees. Wearing rising hems and open backs are always inappropriate for the work. So be careful. And if you wear a sleeveless top, pair it with pants or jeans.

Have Fun With Shoes – Wedges and chunky heels are in season, enhance your looks by adding personality to your outfits. Open-toes foot wears are acceptable in the workplace, if you‘ve neat and clean manicured feet.

Don’t go for winter colors – Summer means a change in colors, whether its clothes, make up, etc. Pack your dark berry, black and brown shades of clothes, nail paints and lipsticks. Bring out the floral, pink and nude shades to carry in summers. It’s time for shopping if you don’t have clothes to wear in summers. Pair your dress with the nude make up look to flaunt your assets.
Hand candies – A great hand candy i.e. summer bags will uplift the beauty of your outfit instantly. A light color, nude or bright color bags will work best with your outfits and will revive old stand-by looks. Avoid too much large bags in office. Select bag size in which you can keep all the items that you need to carry at your workplace.
